Tabu Typecast: Know the whole saga before calling Tabu a typecast, Lady Dabangg brought the fear of women police to its peak
[ad_1]
Tabu is currently garnering praises for her film ‘Bholaa’ where she is seen as a cop. Bhola is the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Kaithi. Directed by Ajay Devgn, Bhola tells the story of a criminal (Ajay Devgn) who, after his release from prison, wants to meet his daughter, but comes face-to-face between the police and the drug mafia.
Tabu created her own cop universe
Tabu seems to have created her own cop universe in the last few years. She has previously played the role of a cop in films including ‘Kutte’, ‘Drishyam’, ‘Drishyam 2’ and ‘Kohram’. Some people also call them typecast. Because in all these films, she has worked her magic by being a policewoman.
If the work is excellent then typecast is not an issue
Tabu comes on the set with a different enthusiasm. He is generally known for playing the best roles in the past as well. Surprisingly, actresses are being cast as cops in films, which was not the case then. Earlier, female actors were restricted to singing-dance and glam quotient only. More and more powerful roles are being written for women, indicating that women are ready to pick up the baton and step into the action. Earlier, these films were limited to macho heroes only but it is interesting to see Tabu taking up the challenge and opening up to such roles.
There is no better choice than Tabu
Where there is a world where women are not getting strong roles, if in such an industry, Tabu has consistently dominated with strong roles and has created a different charm of her own. Even though Tabu does policing by becoming a cop, she feels confident in that role. Also, Tabu knows that hardly anyone like her can do that role. This is the reason why even today the directors do not have a better choice than Tabu for such characters.
