Baba Tools was started by Tarun Malhotra in the year 2008. Narrating the story of starting this startup, Tarun Malhotra told that when he was in 11th class, he used to buy and sell mobile phones from local markets in Delhi. The problem used to arise when they were not able to provide any good service to the customer when the mobile got damaged because they did not have the right mobile parts and trained people to repair the mobile.

Seeing this, Tarun Malhotra started Baba Tools, he assured the customers that if they buy the products from him, they will never face any problem in repairs. Due to this unique offer, gradually customers started coming to them.

Tarun Malhotra also told that if someone wants to start this business of mobile repairing with him, then he can start this business with a budget of Rs. 1 lakh, he will get the benefit of the name being only Baba Tools’ brand. Rather, they will also be given proper training related to mobile repairing.

After starting Baba Tools, Tarun Malhotra also started Baba Repair Training. The reason for doing this, Tarun Malhotra told that no one knew how to use the advanced tools for repairing, due to which it became necessary to start this training centre. Regarding the future of Baba Tools, Tarun Malhotra says that he wants to take his service to the rural areas of India.
