Tata Technologies IPO: There is a race to invest money in Tata Technology of Tata Group. On Wednesday, the IPO was subscribed 6.54 times on the first day. According to NSE data, bids were received for 29,43,78,780 shares as against 4,50,29,207 shares on the first day of bidding for the Rs 3,042.5 crore IPO.

Now the question arises whether an investor can apply in multiple categories of Tata Technologies IPO. The simplest answer to the question is: yes. An individual investor, if eligible, can apply in Tata Tech IPO in three categories and their bids will not be considered as multiple bids. However, not all investors fall into this criteria.

If you are an employee of Tata Motors and a shareholder of Tata Motors, you can apply under three categories – as an employee, as a shareholder of Tata Motors and as a retail or non-institutional investor. . However, employees can get a maximum allotment of shares worth Rs 5,00,000, as stated in the RHP of the company.

RHP of Tata Technologies said, an eligible employee bidding in the employee reservation portion can also bid in the TML shareholders’ reservation portion and non-institutional portion or retail portion and such bids will not be considered as multiple bids.

If you are not an employee of Tata but are a shareholder of Tata Motors (TML) then you can bid under two categories, i.e. TML Shareholders and Non-Institutional Share or Retail Quota. However, an individual cannot apply under both the non-institutional quota or the retail portion during the bidding process.

Eligible TML shareholders bidding in the reservation portion of TML shareholders can bid up to a maximum bid amount of Rs 200,000. Additionally, eligible TML Shareholders bidding in the Reservation Portion of TML Shareholders can also bid in the Employee Reservation Portion and Non-Institutional Portion.

Tata Technologies has reserved up to 2,028,342 equity shares or up to 0.50 per cent of the post offer paid-up equity share capital for its eligible employees. While 60,85,027 equity shares, 10 per cent of its post offer paid-up equity share capital, have been reserved for eligible shareholders of Tata Motors Limited.

Tata Technologies is selling a total of 6,08,50,278 equity shares in the IPO through the offer-for-sale (OFS) route. Rs 3,042.51 crore. The price band of each share has been fixed at Rs 475-500 with a lot size of 30 equity shares.
