Air India has signed a deal to buy not one, not two but 500 new aircraft. To make Air India world class, the company has ordered 500 new aircraft. Air India has done this deal for more than 100 billion dollars. The company has tied up with Airbus of France and Boeing of America for this. If reports are to be believed, Air India has placed an order for 430 narrow body and 70 wide body planes. In this, 280 aircraft will be bought from Airbus. In which there will be 210 single-aisle and 40 widebody aircraft. Apart from Airbus, there is preparation to buy 220 aircraft from Boeing. This includes 737 Max narrowbody jets, 787 widebody 777XS aircraft. It is believed that information about this will be shared by the company next week.
According to the news, Air India will work towards making itself a world class airlines with the help of these aircraft. At the same time, the focus will be on expanding the service of Air India’s low-cost airline Air India Express. No official information has been given by Air India about this yet. It is worth mentioning that Tata Group owned Air India is going to take a loan of Rs 18000 crore from SBI and Bank of Baroda. Air India will do this to refinance its existing loans in the short term. Air India is working on its expansion plan. Airlines focus on on-time performance. The facilities for the passengers in the flight are being expanded. Singapore Airlines has announced the merger of its joint venture expansion with Tata into Air India.
