The company gave this information on Friday. The company had announced in January that 1.5 lakh employees have been trained in various skill programmes, which it said is the biggest opportunity for the company in the future.

The company has now more than halved the number of employees it has trained in GenAI. “With over 3,50,000 employees trained on foundational skills in GenAI, TCS is set to create one of the largest AI-trained workforce in the world,” according to the official statement. The company had become the first technology company to create a dedicated unit for AI and Cloud in 2023 to meet the growing needs of customers for cloud and AI adoption.
