Doing every work in one’s own language does not mean that using and using foreign languages ​​is completely inappropriate. It is important that we use foreign languages ​​for research, diplomacy, foreign trade, etc., but it is not right to make any one foreign language our everything and make our languages ​​its slaves.

On Hindi Day, both the people and the government of India should take some concrete resolutions. All citizens of India can take a pledge that they will sign their signatures in their mother tongue or Hindi only. They shall not sign in English or any foreign language. If seen, most of the educated people of the country sign their signatures in English only. Apart from this, if the name plates installed in the markets of different cities are in Hindi and local languages ​​then it will be more convenient for the buyers. More goods will be sold. Some provinces have also given legal form to this provision of local language. Why can’t such rules be implemented for the markets of the entire country? Common people should also get their identity cards printed in Indian languages. Your invitation cards can also be printed in your local language and Hindi. About 50 years ago, when the Swabhasha movement was in full swing, there were hundreds of people who used to boycott programs with invitations in English.

Nowadays, the use of English words and idioms in our speech, newspapers and TV channels has increased a lot. Many times it becomes difficult to understand the meaning of what is said or written. Language is corrupt differently. The beauty of dialogue is destroyed. This does not mean that we lose the ability to digest words in English or other foreign languages. Hindi has become a very powerful language because it has digested words from hundreds of Indian and foreign languages ​​and dialects. Its vocabulary and ability to express are many times more than English. She is the daughter of Sanskrit and sister of Indian languages.

On Hindi Day, the people of India should also take a pledge that they will free Hindi from the clutches of bureaucracy. Even today the country is governed less by our leaders and more by our bureaucrats. Till date they have not freed themselves from the slave mentality of the British period. If our leaders are determined, the dominance of English in India can end in a jiffy, just as Vladimir Lenin did with French in Russia and Ataturk in Turkey with Arabic script. If English is removed from all government work, then all Indian languages ​​and Hindi will automatically freeze. Only care has to be taken that non-Hindi speaking people do not face any inconvenience.

If the Government of India establishes a Translation Ministry like the Ministry of Education, it would be a miraculous work in multilingual India. Any citizen of India will not face any difficulty in using his/her own language. The laws of the Parliament and the Legislative Assembly will start being made in the native languages, the decisions and debates of the courts will be in the language of the people, higher studies and research work in the universities will also start being done in Indian languages. There will be a ban on compulsory study of English from all schools and colleges. Any subject can be taught through Indian languages ​​instead of English medium. Books and latest research articles on various subjects, which will be in foreign languages, will be available to Indian students in their natural and simple language. The energy wasted in memorizing and understanding a foreign language will be utilized in increasing the originality of the students. Apart from this, students should also be given voluntary facility to study not only English but many foreign languages ​​so that our foreign trade, diplomacy and research work gets a new lease of life.

If we can get Hindi and its native languages ​​their rightful place in India’s Parliament, Government, courts, education, medicine and public life, then we can get it established in the United Nations also. Apart from this, if the requirement of English is removed from government jobs, then crores of poor, backward and rural people of the country will get unique opportunities to come forward.

However, every 14 September the Government of India celebrates Hindi Day. Leaders also make many good speeches regarding Hindi. But the style of Hindi remains where it was. There is no doubt that Hindi is one of the most spoken and understood languages ​​in the world. Mahatma Gandhi had said that Hindi is the language of the masses. He had also recommended making it the national language of the country. But his advice was not heeded but there was opposition to making the official language the national language. There are many political parties and leaders who shine their politics only on anti-Hindi. We have to keep in mind that loving Hindi just for one day will not work, we have to keep using our own language continuously and in this journey we have to make all the Indian languages ​​a partner, only then we will get pleasant results.
