Local stock markets regained momentum on Tuesday, both Sensex and Nifty closed in the green. In today’s trading, both Sensex and Nifty indices closed in the red. Sensex closed at 72,186 points with a jump of 455 points or 0.63 percent, Nifty closed at 21,771.70 points with a jump of 158 points or 0.72 percent. In today’s trading, only Auto, Pharma, Metals, Energy, Commodity, Healthcare, Oil and Gas sectors have closed in the green. Whereas the stocks of FMCG and banking sectors closed in the red.
NIFTY top gainers
On NSE Nifty, shares of Bharat Petroleum Corporation are seen rising by 6.01 percent, HCL Technologies by 4.40 percent, TCS by 4.09 percent, MARUTI by 3.99 percent and HDFC LIFE Insurance by 5.22 percent.
Breakdown seen in these stocks on NIFTY
On NSE Nifty, a decline of 3.06 percent was seen in Power Grid Of India, 2.29 percent in Britannia, 1.72 percent in Indusind Bank, 1.52 percent in ITC and 1.18 percent in Kotak Mahindra Bank.
