Ashok Gehlot, considered the biggest strategist of the Congress, has not only broken Sachin Pilot’s dream of becoming the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, but has forced the Congress high command to think about his party loyalty. Ashok Gehlot is a seasoned player of politics. They will do anything to stop Pilot from becoming the Chief Minister and ensure his victory in the upcoming elections, which he has finally done. A few years back, in an interview, Ashok Gehlot had said, ‘If I had never entered politics, I would have been a magician. I’ve always loved social work and learning magic tricks. I may not get a chance to become a magician in the future, but magic is still in my soul. Thus he is often called a ‘magician’ in the Congress circles and by this magic he has presented an example of being the Chanakya of politics many times.

Gehlot claimed on Sunday that in 2020, when there was a conspiracy by Pilot to topple his government, former Chief Minister and BJP leader Vasundhara Raje had supported him. It was only because of his help that the conspiracy could be foiled. According to Gehlot, then money was also distributed among Congress MLAs to topple the government. Since the government could not be brought down, he asked his MLAs to return the money, but “those who gave the money, don’t know why they are not taking it back”. If we look at this whole matter, many serious questions emerge. Above all, what Gehlot did not say is that Sachin Pilot, who belongs to his own party, had a direct role in the alleged conspiracy to topple the government. Secondly, if according to Gehlot himself, the MLAs of his own party had accepted the money, then it would have been his responsibility as the Chief Minister, and why was a police complaint not lodged against those MLAs? While it is a common thing that both giving and taking bribe is a crime by law. The BJP has also made such a demand. But from a purely political point of view apart from these legal aspects, this is an interesting example of how the tug of war between different parties in a parliamentary democracy can sometimes present dramatic scenes. Setting aside all political values ​​and ethics, Gehlot has confirmed his claim in the upcoming assembly elections by disclosing that incident now.

He has accused the leader of his own party of corruption and bribery, although the ultimate truth of such cases never comes to the fore. In this case too, it is almost impossible to find out how much truth is there in whose words. Vasundhara Raje has also called the words of Chief Minister Gehlot a white lie. But it is true that when Sachin Pilot went to Haryana with his close MLAs and there was an atmosphere of chaos among the Congress MLAs, only then the atmosphere started to calm down in some time, Congress MLAs started coming in support of Gehlot and this It has become clear that Pilot is no longer in a position to topple Gehlot’s government. Even at that time, there were reports in the media quoting sources that Gehlot had got the support of Vasundhara Raje behind the scenes. After that, a scenario was created that even if a section of Congress MLAs withdraws their support, it is difficult for Gehlot’s government to fall because it can be compensated from the other side. Naturally, after that the spirit of rebellion among the Congress MLAs cooled down. Such tactics are not new in politics. But it is interesting that at one time Gehlot is not hesitating to present the same people with whose help the government survived for his political gains and those who allegedly helped him are not only shying away from even accepting thanks but also Responding to appreciation with aggressive allegations. Politics is really a strange game, a chess. Gehlot has praised Vasundhara not out of any sense of gratitude, but out of devious mischievousness that at least Vasundhara should not be the BJP’s future chief ministerial candidate.

The allegations of corruption of the Vasundhara Raje government which was in power should be probed. Through this latest address, Gehlot is cleverly warning the people of the state that Sachin Pilot’s campaign against his government is to legitimize unethical methods while demanding an inquiry into the alleged corruption of Vasundhara Raje. Pilot’s motive behind this is to take revenge from them. It has to be seen what the people of Rajasthan think about their future political leadership? To what extent does she save herself from being deluded and misled? Voters are cheated every time. To say that elections are the Mahakumbh of democracy, but in this Mahakumbh, most of the incidents of violation of democracy take place, which should be a cause of concern.
