The scene inside the house that had been deserted for 33 years surprised everyone.

Bizarre news: There have been many artists in the world who passed away in anonymity. A similar incident came to light in Britain after the opening of a house that was closed for 33 years. This house belongs to a famous sculpture artist. His name is Ron Gittins, who died in 2019.

‘Ron’s Place’ looks like any ordinary flat. But the people passing by had no idea about the beautiful creations made inside this flat. Ron Gittins was living alone in this flat for 4 decades. He has transformed this ordinary flat into a beautiful magical world. The works made inside this flat are inspired by the art of ancient Greece and Egypt.

When Ron Gittins died in 2019 at the age of 79, his relatives did not know anything about it. After the death of her brother, Ron’s elder sister ‘Pat Williams’ had no idea that when she went to the flat to collect her brother’s belongings, she would see this scene.

Ron had not invited his family members to his home for many years, so he had no idea what he would find. When there was talk of its being sold in 2022, a campaign was started to save it called “Saving Ron’s Place Group”, which also included musician Jarvis Cocker.

‘Rons Place’ is now Grade II listed by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport on the advice of Historic England. It became the first example of Outsider Art to be nationally listed. Outsider art refers to art created with little or no formal training and mainstream influence.

Ron created these works inspired by ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. Ron had converted his house into a classical villa. There are paintings like historical scenes on every surface of the house. There is a statue of a roaring lion at one place, a bull at another and three stunning fireplaces of a temple.

This amazing work of Ron impressed many people, including celebrities and rockstars. The flat is now being looked after by his niece Jan Williams, Pat’s daughter, who is also an artist.
