As a result of this, Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, which contested the assembly elections together with the SP, is once again growing close to the BJP. It is being told that Om Prakash Rajbhar may join the NDA again before the Lok Sabha elections. After the developments in Maharashtra, Rajbhar has also claimed that a similar split may happen in the SP as well. He has said that SP MLAs do not see any future in the party. Soon many MLAs may break away from the party and join the government.

Apart from this, Jayant Chaudhary, who strengthened the SP in western UP, is also being speculated to join the NDA. Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, who visited Uttar Pradesh, has also claimed this. Significantly, Jayant did not even attend the opposition meeting held in Patna on 23 June. The performance of Jayant’s party in the last few years has also not been very good. In such a situation, Jayant is looking for other possibilities for the future of his party. If seen, the Samajwadi Party benefited from the alliance, but Jayant Chaudhary did not get anything special.

Significantly, the NDA alliance in Uttar Pradesh already includes parties like Apna Dal (S) and Nishad Party. Before the Lok Sabha elections, the Jansatta Loktantrik Party can also support the NDA. The BSP has also been accused of compromising with the BJP internally for the past few years. Akhilesh’s party has often been calling the BSP the B-team of the BJP. However, the BSP also makes the same allegation against the SP. Political experts say that the unity of the opposition will increase the challenge of the BJP. If there is a break in the parties of the opposition in this way, then the effect of opposition unity will be reduced. If the BJP succeeds in doing this in Uttar Pradesh, then its path to return to power at the center will become much easier.
