Stock Market Closing Bell: Amidst the strong signals coming from the global market, the rally that started in the pre-opening of the Indian stock market continued till the end. During trading, the Sensex had climbed up to 74,983.34 points. Whereas, Nifty reached the level of 22,775.70. During this period, tremendous shine was seen in metal stocks. Due to strong buying, till the closing bell the Sensex was up 0.47 percent or 354.45 points at 75,038.15. Whereas, Nifty jumped 0.41 percent or 92.30 points and closed at 22,735.05. Today 3927 companies were doing business in the market. Out of these, 1954 companies closed in profit and 1868 companies closed in loss. Whereas, shares of 105 companies remained stable.

How was the condition of Sensex-Nifty?

In the Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share Sensex, 21 companies closed in profit. Whereas, nine companies remained in loss. At the same time, slight losses were seen in IT and Pharma on Nifty. The fastest rise of 657 points was seen in the FMCG sector. Whereas, a rise of 261 points was seen in Bank, 192 points in IT, 230 points in Consumer Durable and 175 points in Oil & Gas. Today on Nifty, stocks of Coal India, BPCL, Kotak Bank, ITC, Hindalco and Bharti Airtel were among the top gainers. Whereas, Cipla, HDFC Life, Maruti, Shriram Finance and HDFC Bank stocks witnessed a rise.

As soon as the domestic market opened, BSE’s 30-share index Sensex had risen 273.65 points to reach 74,957.35 points. Whereas, NSE Nifty stood at 22,726.60 points with a gain of 83.85 points. In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei 225 and China’s Shanghai Composite were in loss, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was in profit. The US market closed on Tuesday with a mainly positive trend. Global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 0.04 percent higher at US $ 89.46 per barrel.
