New Delhi: With the beginning of the festive season, there has been a huge surge in vehicle sales in the country. There has been a 20 percent increase in vehicle sales across the country in the month of September. The Federation of Vehicle Dealer Associations (FADA) said on Monday that the overall vehicle registration figure in September reached 18,82,071 units. In September, 2022 it was 15,63,735 units. FADA President Manish Raj Singhania said that analysis of the data shows that the increase in vehicle sales in September has been widespread.
While two-wheeler sales have increased by 22 percent, three-wheeler retail sales have increased by 49 percent. Sales of passenger vehicles have increased by 19 percent, while sales of commercial vehicles have increased by five percent. He said that tractor sales have definitely declined by 10 percent last month. According to the data, with improved availability, vehicle registrations increased by more than 19 per cent year-on-year to 3,32,248 units last month, compared to 2,79,137 units in September, 2022.
Singhania said that the offtake of vehicles has also increased last month due to the introduction of new products. In the month under review, retail sales of two-wheelers increased by 22 percent to 13,12,101 units, which was 10,78,286 units in September, 2022. At the same time, registration of commercial vehicles increased by five percent to 80,804 units. Three-wheeler sales increased by 49 percent to 1,02,426 units, compared to 68,937 units in September 2022.
Tractor sales declined to 54,492 units from 60,321 units in September 2022. Singhania said that Shraddha is ending on October 14. After that Navratri will start.
