There will be a long wait before making UPI payment, big update in transaction limit

Now after making UPI payment of more than Rs 2000 for the first time, the user will have to wait for four hours to make the second payment. This rule is only for those users who will make UPI payment for the first time. New users may face problems due to this rule. But officials believe that this rule will be successful in curbing cyber payments.

Amount cannot be sent

If you understand in simple language, an amount of more than Rs 2,000 will not be transferred immediately in four hours. There will be a wait of four hours for this. Even if the user has been using UPI for a long time, if he is transferring more than Rs 2,000 for the first time, it will take four hours to complete the transaction for the second time.

Currently the rule is that while creating a new UPI ID, a maximum of Rs 5000 can be transferred within 24 hours. In the case of NEFT, more than Rs 50 thousand can be sent in the first 24 hours. More than this amount cannot be sent. According to the new plan, a person can send an amount of Rs 2000 for the first time. After this, a break of four hours will have to be taken to send the amount.
