Mumbai: The week started on an optimistic note. Indian benchmark indices touched near all-time high levels on the stock exchanges on Monday. Shares of both Bajaj Group companies – Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv rose heavily today. Though the indices opened positive on Monday, they reversed their earlier gains in a short span of time. At 10:55 am, the BSE Sensex fell by 0.16% to a level of 63,284. The Nifty 50 index also fell 0.19% to the level of 18,790. On Sensex, Titan, Larsen & Toubro and Bajaj Finserv were top gainers, while Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank were top losers in the market.

BSE Capital Goods and BSE Consumer Durables were the top gainers today, while BSE Telecom and BSE Bankex were the worst performers. Looking at the Advance Decline Ratio on BSE, today 1,981 stocks advanced and 1,351 declined. At the same time, the advance-decline ratio remained strongly in favor of the advancing stocks.

Shriram Finance Limited has declared a dividend. Its shares were up more than 5% as its record date approached. Also, its trading volume saw a boom. Shares of ASM Technologies Ltd, top smallcap gainer on BSE, climbed over 17%, keeping small-cap bulls active. Shares of Skipper Limited and RACL Geartech Limited were also heavily bought.
