Mumbai: Indian benchmark indices were trading flat today. However, BSE Metals index was the top gainer sectoral index today. Whereas, BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) index was the top loser in the sector.
The BSE Sensex was up nearly 77 points or 0.12% at 66,758 and the NSE Nifty-50 index was up nearly 27 points or 0.13% at 19,766 during the morning session on Tuesday. Around 1,950 scrips advanced, 1,457 scrips declined and 184 scrips remained unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on BSE:

JSW Steel Limited, Tata Steel Limited and UltraTech Cement Limited were top gainers on the Sensex today, while Larsen & Toubro Limited, Asian Paints and ITC Limited were top losers on the Sensex.

Indices in the broader market traded higher, with BSE Mid-Cap index rising 0.11% and BSE Small-cap index rising 0.41% respectively. Top mid-cap gainers are SJVN Ltd. and Supreme Industries Ltd., while top small-cap gainers were Aarti Drugs Ltd. and Kiri Industries Ltd. As on July 25, 2023, the market capitalization of BSE-listed companies is estimated to be around Rs 303 lakh crore. In addition, 194 stocks are trading at 52-week highs and 26 stocks are trading at 52-week lows.
