Mumbai: The stock market has started with an increase today. Both Sensex and Nifty 50 are seeing a boom. The Nifty 50 opened at Rs 16,977.3 as against its previous close of Rs 16,951.7 on Wednesday. Major Wall Street indices closed with losses on Tuesday. The Nasdaq Composite was down 0.45%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.12% and the S&P 500 was down 0.16% in overnight trading. Asian market indices were trading mostly on the edge on Wednesday. Barring China’s SSE Composite index and South Korea’s KOSPI, all others were trading in the green. At 9:55 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,017.5, up 65.8 points or 0.39%. On the other hand, the broad market indices have outperformed the frontline indices. Nifty Mid-Cap 100 Index and Nifty Small-Cap 100 Index have jumped 0.64% and 0.93% respectively. The list of stocks which are seeing breakout today is given below.
