Tibet will do trade with 175 countries and regions in the year 2023

Beijing (Uttam Hindu News): According to recent data released by Lhasa Customs, China’s Tibet Autonomous Region recorded a total trade value of 10 billion 97 crore 80 lakh yuan in the year 2023. This is a significant increase of 128.3 percent compared to the previous year.
Additionally, Tibet saw an almost 50 percent increase in the number of countries and regions to which it exported goods. Nepal emerged as Tibet’s primary trading partner and largest export market with a total trade volume of 2 billion 769 million yuan.
This represents an increase of 77.2 percent compared to the year 2022. Both general trade and border trade witnessed substantial growth. Border trade increased significantly by 81.7 percent, reaching a trade value of 2 billion 716 million yuan. Exports of machinery, electronic products and labour-intensive goods performed well in terms of merchandise composition.
