TMKOC: Asit Modi openly hit back at Shailesh Lodha’s legal notice, told the real reason for ‘Taarak Mehta’s displeasure’

In fact, Shailesh, who played the role of Tarak Mehta, left the show in April 2022 complaining that he was not paid his dues. Later he took legal action against the makers to get that money and also filed a complaint against TMKOC producer Asit Modi in March, 2023. Not only this, also filed a case against the production company. The actor has also approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to resolve the issue, the hearing of which is to be held this month.
Shailesh Lodha is not agreeing
In an interview to ‘Etimes’, Asit Modi said that he had received the notice a few months ago, but he could not understand the reason as he had not refused to pay the dues. The producer said that his production company has been constantly talking to Shailesh about his pending fees but the actor has not agreed to complete the formalities.

Asit Modi told the inside thing
Asit says, ‘He wanted to work outside and participate in Kavi Sammelans, but Taarak Mehta is a daily soap. There are people here besides them. In such a situation, it was not possible to accept his request. We had a minor fight over it in April last year, after which he never returned to shoot. He left the show, we didn’t ask him to leave. We asked him to serve a three-month notice if he wished to leave the show, but he refused.
