Top Brands : Reliance and Jio have made it to the top five of the list of the country’s most valuable brands. Interbrand, the world’s leading brand consultancy company, has released the list of India’s top 50 most valuable brands. TCS with a brand valuation of Rs 1,09,576 crore topped the list.
In the list of Interbrand, Reliance has got the second position and Jio has got the fifth position. The brand value of Reliance has been estimated at Rs 65,320 crore. While Jio with a brand valuation of 49,027 crores remains at the fifth position. Interestingly, Jio has made it to the list for the first time, while Airtel, a leading telecom company, is one notch behind Jio at number six. IT company Infosys is third with a brand value of Rs 53,323 crore and the country’s top private bank HDFC is fourth with a brand value of Rs 50,291 crore.
Data from Interbrand revealed that the total brand valuation of the 50 companies included in the list has crossed $100 billion for the first time. The brand value of the top 3 brands ie TCS, Reliance and Infosys is estimated to be 46 per cent of the total brand value of the first 10 companies included in the list. At the same time, the total brand value of the brands of the top ten companies is more than the combined value of the remaining 40 brands included in the list.
LIC, Mahindra, SBI and ICICI also figure in the top 10 most valuable Indian brands. Apart from these, brands like Tata, Adani, Maruti Suzuki, ITC, Bajaj Auto, Amul, Dabur, Patanjali and Britannia are also included in the first 50 list.
