According to the data of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, India was the biggest deficit in the financial year 2022. The company Digital Payment Provider Company incurred a loss of Rs 5,594 crore during this period. This includes extraordinary loss of Rs 4,782 crore. PharmEasy is on the second number in this list. The company incurred a loss of Rs 3,992 crore in the last financial year. This includes one time loss of Rs 1,261 crore. Food aggregator Swiggy Rs 3,629 crore, Meesho Rs 3,248 crore, Udaan Rs 3,076 crore, ShareChat Rs 2,988 crore, Unacademy Rs 2,848 crore and dailyhunt ) suffered a loss of Rs 2,563 crore.

Paytm is at number nine in this list. The company incurred a loss of Rs 2,325 crore last year. PhonePe reported a loss of Rs 2,014 crore, Oyo Rs 1,940 crore, Cars24 Rs 1,834 crore, Credit Rs 1,280 crore and Zomato Rs 1,209 crore. It does not include data for startup companies that have not reported their earnings to the ministry. These include the country’s largest startup company Byju, Upstox, and Razorpay.
