Reuters quoted sources as saying that Torrent Power has bid at Rs 13.70 per unit to supply 770 MW for 45 days in April and May from its two gas-based projects in Gujarat. Reliance Industries has bid at Rs 20.5 per unit for supply of 1010 MW. Whereas Uttarakhand-based Gamma Infraprop has bid Rs 14.9 per unit. However, no official statement has come on this yet.

Even today, these shares have closed with a gain of 5.17 per cent. The market cap of the company has increased to Rs 25,573 crore on BSE. Talking about the high and low levels of the stock, on August 22 last year, Torrent Power shares were at their 52-week high of Rs 609.90. On the other hand, on May 19, 2022, the company’s shares were at a 52-week low of Rs 416.
