Twitter rival Threads launches this feature in more countries including India

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Twitter (now Along with India, the company has also launched this feature in Argentina, Mexico, UK and US.
“Today, we’ll launch keyword search in English and Spanish in countries where the most people post on both mobile and web, such as Argentina, India, Mexico, the UK, and the US,” Meta said in a blogpost on Thursday. Meta also said that it is working on bringing this feature to other languages and countries as soon as possible.
Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg also shared the development in a Threads post. That said, it is being rolled out today in most English- and Spanish-speaking countries. There will be more coming soon. However, after peaking at about 50,000 daily active users globally on Android devices in early July, threads have been steadily declining and now stand at about 10 million. According to digital intelligence platform SimilarWeb, this number is less than one-tenth of Twitter’s number of users.
According to Zuckerberg, more than 10 million people joined the social media app within seven hours of its launch on July 5. According to market intelligence data provider Sensor Tower, Threads became the most downloaded non-game app on its first day in a decade and surpassed 100 million users. The report also noted that users on Threads spend only 2.4 minutes per day on the app, down 80 percent from its peak in early July.
