New Delhi. B2B transportation solutions provider Wise Travel India Limited (WTI Cabs) will add 1,000 electric vehicles (EVs) to its fleet this year. The company’s founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Ashok Vashishtha has given this information. The company is going to take this step under the green transportation campaign. The company is expanding in tier II cities of the country like Chandigarh, Jaipur, Coimbatore and Indore. Apart from this, the company also intends to establish its presence at the international level through Saudi Arabia and Far East countries.
Vashishtha said, “Our main focus this year is on green. We are adding vehicles to our fleet which are electric and bio-CNG. We already have 300 electric cars. This year we are going to add more than a thousand electric cars and buses to our fleet. The company operates under the WTIcabs brand. Its fleet also consists of third party and individually owned vehicles. He said that as far as electric vehicles are concerned, most of them will be company owned. He said that about Rs 50 crore will be invested for this. This investment will be through debt and equity.
