According to the news, there is going to be a change in the rule of transferring money through IMPS from 1st February i.e. tomorrow. Now you will be able to send up to Rs 5 lakh to your bank account through IMPS without adding the beneficiary. This means that now you will not need the beneficiary’s account number and IFSC code to transfer money through IMPS.
Let us tell you that now you will be able to send money just by entering the name of the bank and the mobile number of the beneficiary. Till now, before sending large amount from one account to another through IMPS, one had to enter the name of the beneficiary, account number and IFSC code.
