A railway official said that a different type of pantograph was needed to run the Vande Bharat Express on the Delhi-Jaipur route. Vande Bharat Express has a pantograph on the roof of every other coach. But the height of the electric wires on the Delhi-Jaipur route is high. Hence the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai had to make longer pantographs for the Vande Bharat Express running on the Delhi-Jaipur route. That is, it will be different from the 13 Vande Bharat Express run so far in this sense. This will be Rajasthan’s first and fourth Vande Bharat train to run from Delhi. Earlier, Vande Bharat train has been run from Delhi to Varanasi, Katra and Amb Andaura in Himachal.
one hour faster than shatabdi
According to a circular of North Western Railway, in the talks between NWR and Northern Railway (NR), it was proposed to run this train between New Delhi and Jaipur. But later it has been changed. Now this train will run between Ajmer and Delhi Cantt via Jaipur. This train will take 5 hours 15 minutes to cover the distance of 442.55 km between Delhi Cantt to Ajmer. Currently, the fastest train on this route is Shatabdi Express which takes 6 hours 15 minutes. That is, Vande Bharat will reach the passengers to the destination an hour before that.
It will run six days a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The train will not run on Wednesday. On the way it will stop at Jaipur, Alwar and Gurugram. Ajmer-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express will give a boost to tourism in Rajasthan. Along with this, the socio-economic development of the area will get wings. Railway plans to run 75 chair car Vande Bharat Express. After that there are plans to make 200 sleeper Vande Bharat which will be run on the route of Rajdhani Express. Along with this, Railways is also working towards making the country’s first aluminum train.
