Vande Bharat Express: Huge demand for Kerala’s first Vande Bharat, tickets sold out in few hours

According to media reports, 740 tickets for the Vande Bharat Express scheduled to depart from Kasaragod on April 26 were sold out within a few hours on Sunday. The booking started at 8 in the morning and by 6 in the evening 740 tickets had been sold. There are total 914 chair car seats in Vande Bharat. As per reports, all the executive chair car tickets for the next five days have been sold out. For April 26, 86 tickets have been sold in the executive car and 14 passengers are waiting. Similarly, huge demand is being seen for the tickets for 28, 29 and 30 April. According to railway officials, this train will complete the journey of 510 km in seven hours. Considering the track condition in Kerala, its speed will be 110 kmph. By the way, this train can run at a speed of 160 kmph. The stoppages of this train will be at Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Tirur and Kozhikode.
Parts of Bihar-Jharkhand still waiting
The country’s first Vande Bharat train was run between Delhi to Varanasi. So far 14 Vande Bharat trains have been run in the country but still many states are waiting for this train. These include Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, North-East, Odisha, Goa and Uttarakhand. Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have got their first Vande Bharat Express recently. Railway plans to run 75 Vande Bharat Express on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. Right now this train is being run on Shatabdi route. But further there is a plan to run it on the capital route. For this, sleeper coaches will be made in Vande Bharat.
