Vande Bharat will reach Rangpo in Sikkim
According to the official, he can flag off the train during the state tour. NFR currently runs Vande Bharat Express only between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said on March 6 that Vande Bharat will reach Rangpo in Sikkim by December 2024. The maximum commercial operating speed of Vande Bharat Express is 160 kmph. During its test, the speed is more than 180 kilometers per hour. High speed trains cannot run on most of the railway tracks in India, so the train is run at a maximum speed of 130 kilometers per hour.
An NFR official told that the New Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri train will run at a maximum speed of 110 kilometers per hour.
