Vande Bharat Train Latest Update: Suspense is still intact regarding the inauguration day of Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express. According to the information received from railway sources, the opening day of the first train was fixed on May 15. According to information received from railway sources, now there is a possibility of its inauguration on 18 May.

It is also coming to the fore that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will be present at Puri station to flag off the train. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will also be present with him. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik can also attend the programme.

According to the information received, the speed of the semi-high speed train of South Eastern Railway will be 130 km per hour. The train will complete the journey between Howrah to Puri in just 5.25 hours. The train will leave Howrah at 6.10 am and reach Puri station at 12.30 pm.

In return, this train left for Howrah at 1.50 pm from Puri station and reached Howrah at 8.30 pm. According to information received from South Eastern Railway sources, this train will stop at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road.

However, the fare and duration of stoppage of the train has not been fixed by the Railway Board. The train will have 14 AC chair cars and two executive chair cars. The 16-coach train has the facility of accommodation for one thousand passengers. The train fare may be same as Howrah-Puri Shatabdi.

Vande Bharat will run for three days between Howrah-Puri

The first Vande Bharat train of South Eastern Railway will be the second semi high speed train of the state. According to information received from railway sources, initially it has been decided to run this train three days a week. The train will run between Howrah and Puri three days a week i.e. on Monday, Friday and Saturday.

According to time and demand, a decision will be taken to increase its frequency. It will have two types of coaches – AC Chair Car and AC Executive Class. According to the information received from railway sources, the fare of AC chair car will be Rs 1395 while the fare of executive AC chair car will be Rs 2520.

It is noteworthy that the trial run of Howrah-Puri Express train started on 28 May. For the first time, the train left Howrah station at 6.10 am and reached Puri station at 12.30 pm. So far three trial runs of the train have been successfully completed.
