Vande Bharat on Mumbai-Goa route The trial run of the Express began on Tuesday. Capable of running at a speed of one hundred and eighty kilometers per hour, the Vande Bharat rake left Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal (CSMT) at 5.30 am. And reached Goa’s Madgaon station at 12:50. The same rake left Madgaon at around 1.15 am and is likely to reach CSMT by late evening.

Officials said the test was done using the rake of the CSMT-Shirdi Vande Bharat Express, which does not run on Tuesdays. Presently three Vande Bharat Express trains run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Solapur and Shirdi.
Mumbai-Goa route most popular
Officials said that senior railway officials are exploring the possibilities of running the Vande Bharat Express on the popular Mumbai-Goa route as this route is heavily congested throughout the year. According to officials, as soon as the timing is set on the route, operations for Mumbai-Goa can be started.
