Village Ghadam is the birthplace of Mata Kaushalya.

When there is amazing enthusiasm and joy among Ram devotees across the world regarding the Pran Pratistha program to be held in Ayodhya on 22nd January, the birth place of God’s Mother Kaushalya, village Ghadam, which falls in Patiala district, is a matter of concern for both the society and the government. Is a victim of neglect. Recently, Shiv Sena Hindustan National President Pawan Gupta had visited village Ghadam and in view of the pathetic condition of the temple and palace there, had demanded from the Punjab government to take care of the temple and palace.

Taking the same point forward, while addressing the people present in the program Sarva-Sanjhi Punjabiyat organized by Joshi Foundation in Chandigarh, Acharya Swami Rajeshwaranand said that the geographical and spiritual connection of Lord Shri Ram with Punjab and Punjabiyat is so deep that everyone associated with Punjabiyat. Poets, philosophers, scholars and historians have already mentioned it. The greatest authentic spiritual fact is that Lord Ram is considered as the incarnation of Treta in Sri Guru Granth Sahib, considered to be the world leader. Talking about the geographical relationship, Swami Rajeshwaranand said that there are many places in Punjab which are related to Lord Ram, like Lord Ram’s maternal grandfather is in village Ghadam on Pahewa Road, about 30 kilometers from Patiala, which is called Kaushalyapuram.
Ajj Sarovar of Kharar is named after King Ajj, the ancestor of Lord Ram. Luv Kush’s education in scriptures and weapons took place in Maharishi Valmiki’s ashram in Punjab, where it is now Amritsar. It is said that the author of Ramayana, Maharishi Valmiki, spent most of his life in Punjab. The connection of the city of Ayodhya with Sikhism becomes even deeper when there is evidence of three Guru Sahibans visiting Ayodhya. The first Guru Shri Nanak Dev Ji, in 1557 Vikrami, sat at Brahmakund Ghat on the banks of river Saryu and gave the true sermon of Satsang sitting under a nearby Bel tree. That vine tree is adorned today in the Gurudwara Brahmakund there. Thereafter, the ninth Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Maharaj, who is known as the Chadar of Hind, during his visit to Assam, touched his lotus feet on this earth and gave his Charanpaduka (Khadau) to a Brahmin servant, whose darshan is still seen. .

Thereafter, tenth Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, while going from Patna to Anandpur Sahib, along with Mata Gujri Ji and maternal uncle Kripal Chand Ji, came to this place and also fed gram to the monkeys, which tradition continues even today. His weapons, arrows, daggers and chakras are here, whose darshan is still seen by the Sangat in Gurudwara Brahmakund, the handwritten beed is also present there. Confirming his spiritual point, Swami Rajeshwaranand ji referred to Gurbani ‘Treta Tai Manyo Ram Raghuvansh Kahayo.’ The verses of Bhai Gurdas have been said to be the key to Sri Guru Granth Sahib. You also write in your words, ‘Trete Satguru Ram Ji Rara Ram Jape Sukh Pave.’ It is clear from Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj ji’s great composition ‘Rama Avtaar’ in Shri Dasham Granth that Lord Ram was the incarnation of Treta. Sri Guru Gobind Singh writes that…. That’s how Durga Saaj destroyed the demons. It was with such force that Ram Lai Bana died. Suddenly, with the help of force, Krishna fell down with the help of Kansa.

It is noteworthy that Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj and Babar were contemporaries. Guru Sahib has described the atrocities of Babar, whose army demolished the Ram temple and built the Babri Masjid, in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Listening to ‘Eti Maar Paai Kurlane Te Ki Dard Na Aaya’ gives detailed information about the atrocities of Babar. Swami Rajeshwaranand said that on the basis of evidence it is established that Lord Ram has a geographical and spiritual connection with Punjab, therefore, let us all come together and light a lamp in our homes on the historic day of 22 January, in the memory of Shri Ram Ji in our minds as well. Ignite and bring his message to life so that love and brotherhood get strengthened in Punjab and the world.

Keeping in mind the facts that Swami Rajeshwaranand and Shiv Sena Hindustan President Pawan Gupta have presented before the society and government, there is a need to handle the places and facts related to Lord Ram and Mata Kaushalya. It would be better if both society and government do this work together.
