Vishwakhabram: This time Nepal became poor after getting trapped in the debt trap thrown by China.

When China makes a plan to trap someone, it is not only difficult but impossible to escape from it. Before showing the gardens to different countries, China mesmerizes them in such a way that they do not even realize that they are going to fall into the trap of the dragon. For example, China has been looting Pakistan’s land and resources for years in the name of helping it. The situation has become such that Pakistan has reached the verge of poverty by paying interest to China. Same is the condition of some other countries of South Asia also. Among them, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Nepal are prominent. India has somehow saved Maldives and Sri Lanka but Nepal had decided not to listen to India, the consequences of which it is now suffering.

Let us tell you that China has burdened Nepal with its debt and has also taken some of its areas under its control. Not only this, China showed Nepal such a dream of earning millions of dollars through Pokhara Airport that this neighboring country of India got badly trapped in its clutches. Let us tell you that China got Pokhara Airport constructed in Nepal by giving contract to its companies and deceived Nepal that this will increase tourism in their country. China had claimed that about three lakh international passengers will start arriving at this airport in Nepal by 2025. But the opposite happened. Firstly, paying the interest on the loan of 215 million dollars that Nepal had taken from China to build this airport is currently costing Kathmandu a lot. Secondly, since the inauguration of Pokhara Airport, only the plane of Nepal’s Prime Minister Prachanda has landed here. Apart from this, after several people were killed in a plane crash near this airport earlier this year, it has started being called a ghost airport. Not only this, China had said that millions of international passengers would come here but the truth is that not a single international airline comes here. In such a situation, this airport is lying deserted.

If seen, by building Pokhara Airport, Nepal has become in the same condition as Pakistan. Let us tell you that in the name of development of Gwadar in Pakistan, China has imposed a debt of billions of dollars on Islamabad. The reality of this time is that China has made Pakistan its economic slave in the name of BRI project. Actually, China is building CPEC corridor from Gwadar in Pakistan to its Xinjiang province. The money invested in this project has been given by China as a loan to Pakistan. If we look at it, China started distributing loans to India’s neighboring countries so that it could bring them under its influence and establish its dominance in the region. Initially, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Maldives were very happy after receiving money from China, but all their happiness disappeared as soon as they came to know about the purpose of China. Now Nepal is in deep worry because China has given it time till 2026 to repay the entire loan, but when it is becoming difficult for Nepal to meet its normal expenses, then how will it pay the interest on the expensive loan? Apart from this, China has also shocked Nepal by declaring Nepal’s Pokhara Airport as a part of its BRI. It remains to be seen how and when the ghost of China’s debt will be lifted from the minds of India’s neighboring countries.
