New Delhi . India’s largest telecom operator Reliance Jio added 31.59 lakh mobile users in October 2023, while rival Bharti Airtel’s subscriber base increased by 3.52 lakh. This came to light in TRAI’s monthly customer data. At the same time, the troubled telecom company Vodafone Idea did not get any relief. It lost 20.44 lakh wireless customers in October.
According to the data, 31.59 lakh new users joined Jio in October and its total number of customers increased to 45.23 crore. It had 44.92 crore customers in September. Sunil Mittal-led Airtel’s subscriber base grew by 3.52 lakh in October, taking its total subscriber base to 37.81 crore.
According to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) data, the number of subscribers of Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) declined to 22.54 crore in October. VIL, which is facing cash crunch, is struggling with the problem of raising funds and continuously decreasing number of customers.
