As soon as Waheeda Rehman got the news of Guru Dutt’s death, she immediately rushed to the film’s shoot in Madras. Waheeda Rehman didn’t even remove her makeup. In the same condition, she took a flight and reached Guru Dutt’s place. Then the actor was being taken for the last rites. Lalita Lajmi had said that Guru Dutt’s death remained a mystery not only for the entire industry but also for his family. Guru Dutt’s daughter was then two years old, and she also kept saying seeing him that father, get up.
