Weekly jump of Rs 1152 in gold and Rs 1528 in silver

Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News): In the country’s largest futures trading market MCX, last week gold rose by Rs 1152 per ten grams and silver by Rs 1528 per kg.
In precious metals futures, gold and silver traded on MCX saw a total turnover of Rs 78,803.46 crore in 10,87,613 deals during the week of January 27 to February 02. In gold contracts, MCX gold February futures opened at Rs 56,760 per 10 grams and touched a high of Rs 58,826 and a low of Rs 56,620 during the week. At the end of the week, it jumped by Rs 1,152 to reach Rs 58,114.
Similarly, gold futures in February futures rose by Rs 433 to Rs 46,029 per eight gram and gold-petal by Rs 44 to Rs 5,665 per gram. Gold-mini rose by Rs 845 to Rs 57,710 per 10 grams.
In silver futures, silver March futures opened at Rs 68,589 per kg at the beginning of the week, touched a high of Rs 72,769 during the week and touched a low of Rs 67,613 and closed at Rs 70,204 per kg, rising by Rs 1528 at the end of the week. The February futures of silver-mini advanced by Rs 1414 to Rs 70,123 and silver-micro by Rs 1412 to Rs 70,108 per kg.
During the week under review, MCX recorded a total turnover of Rs 2,80,743.42 crore in 35,47,832 deals. The February futures of the precious metals index Bulldex saw a movement of 699 points.
