WhatsApp working on new ‘Meta Verified’ option for business

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Meta-owned WhatsApp is reportedly developing a new ‘Meta Verified’ subscription option that will allow business accounts to subscribe to it to receive the verified badge. According to WABetaInfo, this subscription will replace the previous subscription of WhatsApp Premium, which included a custom business link and the ability to link up to 10 devices.
According to the report, a new setting will be available within the app settings in a future update, allowing businesses to subscribe to Meta Verified and build trust with their customers by displaying the verified badge. The report also states that Meta Verified subscription will be optional and accessible exclusively to businesses. Meta verified users will get security.
According to the report, Meta Verified subscribers will be able to access account support services, ensuring they have a direct route to assistance, troubleshooting, and resolution of any concerns. The report says that Meta Verified subscriptions for business are under development and will be available in a future update of the app. Meanwhile, WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that will allow users to share music audio during video calls on Android.
The ability to listen to video and music audio simultaneously is now available to some beta testers. Specifically, when someone in a call shares their screen, the audio they play on their device will also be shared with the other people in the call. It is important to note that this feature also works in individual calls, allowing users to enjoy a synchronized audio experience even in one-on-one video conversations.
