This service has been launched for mobile apps and users will have to take a monthly subscription of Rs 699 on the app for verification tick. Meta plans to offer this subscription on the web for Rs 599 per month in the next few months. Meta verification has started in India from today. In such a situation, people are buying Instagram or Facebook by paying blue money.
Meta said in its statement that people can buy a monthly subscription of Rs 699 on iOS and Android. In the coming months, we will also introduce a web purchase option for Rs 599 per month. For verified account subscription, Facebook and Instagram users will have to verify their account with government ID.
Seven days after announcing the subscription, the company said it is expanding its trial of meta-verification to India after seeing good results from its initial trial in several countries globally. The company has said that for verification, the accounts will have to fulfill the minimum conditions of the accounts.
Those applying for verification must submit a government ID that matches the profile name and photo of the Facebook or Instagram account they are applying for. The company said that we want to make it easier for creators to register their presence so that they can strengthen their community on Instagram or Facebook. Meta said that there will be no change even for accounts that were previously verified.
