Additionally, the blue light emitted from your cell phone can also disrupt the production of the sleep-inducing hormone, also known as melatonin. This disrupts the circadian rhythm (body clock), making it difficult to sleep.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified RF radiation from phones as ‘carcinogenic’ to humans based on an increased risk of glioma, a type of brain cancer. As soon as you move the phone away, the strength of the radio frequency electro-magnetic field that is associated with the phone is greatly reduced. No specific distance scale is given, but it is advised to keep it at least three feet apart to avoid serious consequences.
Turn off your phone or put it on ‘silent’ when you’re about to sleep. If you need to be available for calls, keep your mobile phone away from your bed. Use the clock for alarm. There are people who have the habit of reading e-books just before sleeping. Read that one real book.
