That is, ThinkBook Transparent Concept comes with borderless screen and its keyboard is also transparent. The laptop has a 17.3-inch borderless screen with up to 55% transparency when the pixels are set to black color, although the display becomes less transparent as the pixels increase. The Lenovo ThinkPad Transparent does not have an AMOLED panel, but instead sports a MicroLED display.
In addition to the transparent display, Lenovo’s concept video also shows a flat touch keyboard, which is a projection rather than an actual keyboard, and the keyboard appears to disappear when you bring the pen close to the ThinkBook. Micro LED displays are said to provide better saturation, transparency, brightness and image quality compared to its OLED alternative.
At present, Lenovo has not given information related to its hardware, but it is definitely known that this laptop will work on Windows 11 operating system. But Tom Butler, executive director of Lenovo’s ThinkPad portfolio, told The Verge that the company has “a lot of confidence” in the technology. In the next five years it will be transformed into a real laptop.
