Zypp Electric plans to deploy 10,000 e-scooters in Bengaluru over the next two months

Mumbai: Electric mobility startup Zip Electric has announced plans to deploy 10,000 electric scooters in Bengaluru over the next two months. Giving this information on Tuesday, the company said that its 2,000 e-scooters are already running on the roads. The company said that the remaining 8,000 e-scooters will also be seen on the roads in the next two months. The move is part of the company’s recent plan to expand its services to 30 cities in the country. The company intends to take its fleet size to two lakh e-scooters by 2025.
With this, the company has said that it has added 2,000 delivery personnel in the capital of Karnataka. It plans to add 5,000 more personnel in the next two months. Zip said it also plans to set up 100 Gorogro battery swapping stations at its Bangalore center in the next one to one-and-a-half years. This will give a big boost to the EV ecosystem in the city. Rashi Agarwal, co-founder of Zip Electric, said, “We have already deployed 2,000 e-scooters in Bengaluru. We intend to provide sustainable and end-to-end delivery solutions to companies.”
