Iran’s Intelligence Ministry said on January 5 that Iranian law enforcement officials arrested 11 people related to the Kerman bombing.

One of the two suicide bombers is a citizen of Tajikistan, while the other has not yet been identified, the statement said. Authorities will continue to work to bring to justice all those involved in the attack.
The extremist organization “IslamicState” had claimed to have carried out the blast on January 4. On 5 January, Iran held a mass funeral for the blast victims in the city of Kerman.
While presenting the latest investigation results of the Kerman bombing on January 5, Iran’s Deputy Interior Minister Majid Mirhamadi said that the bodies of the two attackers were found at the scene, confirming that both blasts were suicide attacks. The blast killed 89 people. And more than 270 people were injured.
