Pakistan has expressed displeasure over India’s decision to host the G-20 meeting in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan’s foreign ministry said the schedule of two other meetings of the G20 Consultative Forum on Youth Affairs (Y-20) in Leh and Srinagar was equally disappointing. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Pakistan expresses its strong displeasure over India’s decision to hold the G-20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Srinagar on 22-24 May 2023. The meeting is taking place at a time when India takes over the presidency of the G20 this year and will be the first international event to be held in Srinagar after the abrogation of Article 370. India’s irresponsible move to maintain its illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir in sheer disregard of UN Security Council resolutions and in violation of the UN Charter and principles of international law.
