PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday spent nearly four hours at the Rawalpindi office of the National Accountability Bureau in connection with the probe into the Al-Qadir Trust case. The case alleges that the former prime minister and his wife obtained billions of rupees and hundreds of kanals of land from Bahria Town Limited to legalize Rs 50 billion, which was later returned to the country by the UK during the tenure of the PTI government. given.

Imran was taken away from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) premises by paramilitary forces in connection with the case on 9 May, leading to violent protests across the country. The PTI chief immediately approached the High Court for release but it declared his arrest legal. However, after the Supreme Court’s ruling that the arrest was illegal, he was released. Meanwhile, an accountability court this morning granted bail to Imran’s wife Bushra Bibi till May 31 in the same case.
