400 policemen will search Imran Khan’s house, search warrant received

The Punjab government had decided to send a team to hold talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership before conducting a search operation in Zaman Park.

Action is on in Pakistan against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Around 400 police personnel are stationed outside his house. Geo News reported that the Punjab Police on Friday obtained a warrant from the court to conduct searches at the residence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Punjab government had decided to send a team to hold talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership before conducting a search operation in Zaman Park. An officer of the rank of Superintendent of Police will lead the party which will also include women personnel. The commissioner will be with the Lahore Division search team.

The Punjab government on Wednesday claimed that ’30-40 terrorists are hiding inside Imran Khan’s residence’ and gave PTI 24 hours to hand over these miscreants or face action. However, no action was taken after the deadline expired on Thursday. Later, Punjab Information Minister Aamir Mir said that law enforcement would conduct a search operation at his residence after Imran Khan’s permission and in front of cameras to nab the terrorists.

Authorities on Friday arrested six more terrorists while trying to escape from the Zaman Park residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan. The total number of arrests went up to 14. Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Saddiq Kamyana claimed.
