Appreciating the rapid spread of 5G technology in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that India is now preparing to bring 6G technology and a task force has been constituted for this. Addressing the nation on the 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi said that the Internet is now reaching every village and the country is now getting ready for quantum computers.
He said from the ramparts of the Red Fort, “My country is the fastest growing country in 5G technology. We have reached more than 700 districts and now we are preparing to bring 6G. We have formed a task force.” He said that now developed countries are also keen to know about the success of Digital India. Modi said the government is working on a new scheme to advance technology in the agriculture sector, under which drones will be given to thousands of self-help group women and they will also be taught how to operate them.
The Prime Minister said, “I see the potential in our rural women to move forward in the field of science and technology. Therefore, we are thinking of a new scheme to bring technology in the agriculture sector. So we will give training to women self-help groups (SHGs) to fly drones, repair drones. Thousands of such women self-help groups will be given drones and their training. We will initially give drones to 15,000 women associated with SHGs.” He said that the youth of the country has immense potential and the government is working on various policies to provide them many opportunities.
Modi said, “Today our youth have taken India to the top three start-up systems globally. The youth globally are in awe of this capability and power of India. He said the government is also using technology to tackle corruption. Modi said, “Today the internet is reaching every village. India is getting ready for quantum computers. Today farmer producer organizations are being formed. We are also going to make semiconductors.” The Prime Minister said that before 2014, internet services were very expensive, but at present it costs the least, due to which every family has saved.
