Israel intensified attacks on Gaza
Mahmoud Bassal provided a partial list of the names of those killed in the attack, including the heads of 16 households of the al-Mughrabi family. Women and children are also included among the dead. The dead included Issam al-Mughrabi, a veteran United Nations Development Program employee, his wife and their five children. Later on Friday, an airstrike carried out an airstrike on the house of local TV journalist Mohammad Khalifa in Nusrat, killing him and at least 14 other people. Officials of the nearby Al-Aqsa Hospital gave this information. Meanwhile, Israel has intensified attacks in Gaza and millions of people have been asked to leave their homes and go to safer places. Deaths in Gaza represent about one percent of the territory’s population before the war.
Israel’s air and ground offensive has been one of the most devastating military operations in recent history, forcing 85 percent of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million to seek refuge in safer places. According to a report released on Thursday by the United Nations and other agencies, more than five lakh people are facing starvation in Gaza. In the October 7 attack in Israel, besides killing about 1200 people, Hamas had kidnapped about 240 people. Israel has pledged to continue fighting until Hamas is destroyed and removed from power in Gaza and all hostages are freed.
