This increase has been up to 4 percent. In most states, now employees are getting 42 percent allowance instead of 38 percent. Let us tell you that the Central Government had announced to increase the allowance for its employees in the month of March.

It is believed that the Central Government may announce DA increase between Navratri and Diwali. It is estimated that DA of central government employees will increase by 3 percent. Formula to calculate DA

The increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) of pensioners is calculated on the basis of percentage increase in the 12 monthly average of All India Consumer Price Index.
