New Delhi: Apple has released a new iOS 17 update to fix the overheating problem in iPhone 15 Pro phones. The company was receiving complaints of overheating from users for a long time. The iOS 17.0.3 software update ‘fixes’ an issue that was causing iPhones to have overheating issues. The tech giant said, ‘This update provides important bug fixes and security updates.’
Not all iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max users have experienced overheating, and it’s unclear how many users are affected by the issue. Apple has identified some conditions that may cause new iPhones to run hotter than expected, including a bug in the iOS 17 software update and some third-party apps like Instagram. According to reports, iOS 17.0.3 also comes with two important security fixes, including a fix for a breach that was actively patched.
An attacker with access to the device can escalate his privileges to run unethical code. Regarding the security modification, Apple said, ‘This issue was addressed with enhanced testing.’ iOS 17.0.3 and iPadOS 17.0.3 are now available for iPhone and iPad models with iOS 17 and iPadOS 17.
