According to Tova, the horrific scene of the Nazi genocide is still fresh in her mind. “More than 80 years have passed, but I haven’t forgotten that horrific scene,” she told The Associated Press at her residence in central Israel. Towa grew up in the Warsaw Ghetto. The Nazis forcibly took his father to a labor camp, after which he was never seen again. Tova remembers how she and other Jewish children crawled out on the ground to pick food in the Warsaw Ghetto surrounded by electric wires. She says that during this time some children also died after falling into the sewer. Towa said, “We used to think only about food. All we used to think about was how to arrange food.
