India’s double attack on Pakistan, now a big blast in Afghanistan

India has launched a double attack on Pakistan simultaneously. Due to which his condition seems to be worsening. India has stopped the water going to Pakistan by building a dam on the Ravi river. But India did not stop here but launched a second strike on Pakistan through the dam itself. India has sent a team of engineers to Afghanistan. This team will investigate the Salma Dam built by India in Afghanistan. This dam was inaugurated by PM Modi in 2016 before the Taliban took over Afghanistan. This dam in Afghanistan was built by India itself. This dam of Afghanistan is also known as India Afghanistan Friendship Dam.

India itself was taking care of this dam. But as soon as Taliban came to power, they captured this dam also. This dam, which provides irrigation water and electricity to Afghanistan, is in a bad condition. India left Afghanistan as soon as Taliban came. But now India has once again reached Afghanistan to save the dam. The Taliban government had repeatedly asked Indian authorities to send a technical team to resolve some problems at the Salma Dam. However, until now, any intervention had been delayed due to diplomatic issues.

For India, this is probably the first official visit to Afghanistan related to infrastructure projects since 2021. Like the rest of the international community, New Delhi does not officially recognize the Taliban regime. However, since the return of Indian diplomats to Kabul in 2022, Indian humanitarian assistance has gradually increased. India had invested more than US$2 billion in development assistance in Afghanistan over the past 20 years, and the Salma Dam was a symbol of India’s involvement.
