The first Hindu temple of the Arab country built in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) was opened to the general public on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it on 14 February. Sharing information on social media, he said that this temple will be open for the people every day from 9 am to 8 pm. The temple has been constructed by Bochasan resident Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) on 27 acres at a cost of about Rs 700 crore. The land for the temple was donated by the UAE government.
On this occasion, Indian Ambassador to UAE Sanjay Sudhir said that India-UAE relations are strong. Emphasizing India-UAE relations, the Indian Ambassador recalled PM Modi’s visits to UAE. He said, I deal with India-UAE relations, which are going very well. In the last 9-10 years, Prime Minister Modi has visited this country seven times and in the last two years he has visited here four times. The Indian Ambassador said that PM Modi’s last visit was very important in terms of bilateral relations and engagement with the leadership of the UAE.
